Emily lives in Sterling, AK with her husband Anthony, and her two dogs; a German Shepherd named Fischer, and a Dachshund mix named Mazie.
Social Work Journey
Emily graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with her BSW, as well as her BA in Justice on Star Wars Day of 2019 (May the 4th be with you.) She is responsible for bringing Project Homeless Connect to Kodiak, AK. She currently works as an Administrative Coordinator for Consumer Direct Care Network in Kenai, AK.
Emily served as the BSW Representative last year, and is excited to continue her service on the board as the Secretary. She has a passion for legislative advocacy and looks forward to the continued fight for social and economic justice in Alaska in Juneau this year.
She enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities in our beautiful state, participating in local theater, swimming and spending time with her husband and dogs. She has a mild penguin obsession and got to pet and play with penguins last year for her birthday.
