Social Action

NASW is instrumental in assuring that the social work perspective is incorporated in pending legislation before Congress and in the Alaska legislature. Your membership helps support these vital efforts at the national and state level. NASW's Agenda for Change targets the association's efforts to address legislation and regulations that will best provide support to vulnerable groups and advance professional practice. Areas of concern include health and mental health, child well-being and protection, welfare reform,  civil rights and social work practice.
