As Alaska’s oldest nonprofit, Alaska Children’s Services (ACS) is an important leader in the field providing a range of residential and community based programs for the State’s children and families. ACS is a non-denominational faith based organization which is supported by four distinct denominations.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for all facets of the organizations operations which include a 14 million dollar budget and 180 professional staff.
We seek a proven leader whose record of accomplishments in child welfare, human services, or behavioral health demonstrate a clear ability to balance the mission and quality of programs with strategic growth and financial stability. S/he must have experience supporting a Board of Directors, the ability to develop and manage a broad range of relationships with community leaders and stakeholders, an appreciation for the spiritual aspects of ACS’ mission, and be an excellent leader who is able to inspire and engage others in the mission of the organization.
