Do you have a passion for serving elders and their families? Southeast Senior Services is looking for a part-time Counselor to help the elders and provide support for their family caregivers. Responsibilities include travel to the village of Kake once a month providing individual counseling for elders, individual and group counseling for family caregivers, training in elder care, and documenting work with clients. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, cross cultural competence, and previous experience working with elders are strongly desired. A master’s degree in social work, psychology, gerontology or closely related field and a minimum of one year of experience in direct service delivery in a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in the listed fields and a minimum of three years experience can be substituted.
