What Does Membership In NASW Offer You?
Through the Chapter's Board, committees, local programs and staff, you will have a wide range of support available to you as a professional social worker.
NASW offer members a chance to stay connected with the social work profession through monthly branch meetings in eight communities, on-going continuing education and an annual conference, as well as a bi-monthly Alaska Chapter newsletter, website, blog and volunteer opportunities.

The NASW Alaska Chapter News is mailed to members on a bi-monthly basis, as a benefit of membership. Members also receive ten issues of the nationally produced NASW News and four issues of the profession’s premiere journal Social Work. Members are also entitled to receive discounts on NASW’s four specialty journals, Health & Social Work, Social Work in Education, Social Work Research and Social Work Abstracts. Professional Malpractice Insurance
The NASW Insurance Trust is one of the most valuable benefits to members, connecting eligible social workers to malpractice insurance with low rates and dependable coverage. Coverage is also offered to individuals, students, schools of social work and social service agency.
