The NASW Code of Ethics is intended to serve as a guide to the everyday professional conduct of social workers. The NASW Code of Ethics summarizes the social work profession's mission and core values; presents broad ethical principles based on the profession's core values; offers specific ethical standards to guide social work conduct and provide a basis for adjudication.
NASW's adjudication program strengthens professional practices by providing an opportunity for systematic review of social worker conduct and agency personnel practices.
